Abstract

During construction, industrial production, warehouses and storage facilities, the need to move various goods and equipment at all stages of the technological process remains unchanged. However, lifting equipment has a limited resource both in terms of time and in terms of the total weight of the lifted and moved loads. In addition to physical wear and tear of the equipment, its obsolescence also occurs. Other modes or a smooth speed change are required, which has not always been previously implemented in the manufacture of a lifting machine. Replacing old lifting equipment is very expensive and not always economically feasible. One of the ways out in this situation is modernization. At the same time, the costs are significantly lower than the costs of purchasing, installing, and commissioning a new lifting machine with similar cargo and height characteristics. The paper considers the results of the overhaul of the KZh-561 railway crane. The main result is the commissioning of a lifting crane with modern frequency motion control systems and protection against dangerous factors (overload, extreme wind load, extreme positions of lifting bodies and other crane structures). The work carried out has significantly increased the reliability, durability and quality of the crane mechanisms. The present study is aimed at assessing the potential of using the upgraded KZH-561 railway crane in the logistics operations of the Russian bakery industry. The key task is to identify the institutional and economic factors that determine the prospects for the introduction of this technology into industry practice.
